Lighting design has become a major focus of my work in theatre, and something I’ve consistently built experience in through a range of productions. I’ve had the opportunity to design for shows that vary in style and tone, from more intimate, character-driven pieces to stylized and conceptual work. Through these experiences, I’ve developed a strong understanding of how to use colour, intensity, and timing to support storytelling and create distinct visual worlds on stage.

What draws me to lighting design is how powerful it is in shaping an audience’s experience. I’m really passionate about using light not just to illuminate, but to add meaning—whether that’s highlighting emotional shifts, defining perspective, or creating contrast between different moments in a show. It’s a balance of creativity and precision that I find incredibly rewarding.

I’m always looking to grow in this field, taking on new challenges and continuing to refine both my technical skills and my creative voice. Lighting design is where I feel most engaged as an artist, and it’s something I’m excited to keep pursuing and developing as part of my career in theatre.
